Accessibility Policy

Accessibility

The ICT4D Conference Committee strives to ensure conference sessions are held where physical and communication barriers do not exclude people with disabilities from attending and participating. We are committed to making the 11th ICT4D Conference accessible to the widest range of people possible.

Special Assistance – should you require an aide or personal assistant to help you navigate the venue, we will register your aide as a complimentary guest. Email to add an aide to your registration. You may be asked to share details of your requirements. Any personal information you share with us will be treated confidentially and in accordance with our privacy policy.

Presenters and Exhibitors Resources

Presenters and exhibitors should pay special attention to attendees with disabilities. You may wish to refer to this guidance on creating accessible PowerPoint presentations.

Meeting Room Setup

Specific requests will be made to the Speke Resort Munyonyo regarding adequate aisle space and cut-outs for wheel chair users in all meeting rooms. If you are presenting a paper, and require a table top or lavaliere microphone, please notify the Agenda Consultant in writing at least three weeks prior to the meeting. Every effort will be made to set meeting rooms to accommodate people with disabilities both as speakers and in the audience.

For all questions or concerns relating to accessibility at the venue and how we can help accommodate you, please contact the ICT4D Conference Administration Team
